ANIMATION
I am currently studying for a BA Honours in Animation at the University of Westminster. Below is a preview of some of my work (and group work) so far. The videos posted are current previews from my work in the second year, I have not included works from my first year as I did not deem it necessary, as they were mainly tests.

For this project we were told to create an introductory clip for a film/television show using pre-existing music. I am using 'The River' by 'Good Charlotte (Featuring M Shadows and Synyster Gates', to which I claim no rights, this is just a university exercise and shall not be used for monetary gain. I have used this song in collaberation with the idea of a Battle of the Bands show, which I then produced in Adobe Flash.

This project involved receiving a soundclip and having to produce appropriate and imaginative imagery to accompany it. I used Photoshop, After Effects and Final Cut to finish this piece. We had approximately three weeks from design to final stage.

We were made to create robots that showed our aspirations, personalities and hobbies. This was my final robot, the robot was first hand drawn, then each layer lined and painted in Photoshop, and finally animated in After Effects, resulting in 38 layers!

An early test fo my After Effects soundscape which further proved to me that I wanted to use this technique and software. Had time allowed I would have loved to have put as much detail in the whole thing as I did in this scene. Photoshop, After Effects and Final Cut were used.

Level 5 GROUP Project
In this project, we were told to choose a story to adapt and animate. Our group subsequently chose 'A Tell-Tale Heart' by Edgar Allen Poe. Working in a group meant there were some things (like lighting, editing) that I wasn't completely content with. For this piece, I worked on creating the puppet, prop, set and sound design, storyboarding, and puppet animation.
We used Dragon Frame software to capture the footage, and Audacity to capture the soundtrack and Final Cut and Premiere Pro to edit.

With this project, I used stock footage from prelinger archives, and found new meaning in two separate films, one about beauty, and how to be beautiful and the other about a day at the zoo, which I then edited to run smoothly as if it were one film from the beginning. Film and sound edited in Final Cut Pro.

Here you can see a test I have done with paper cutout on a multiplane camera system for my minor project, involving an interview... More details to come once I've finished the film! This was my first time using a multiplane system. Captured with Dragon Frame, edited in Final Cut.
